Conceptualization of Metaphor at the Discourse of the Bali G20 Summit in Online Mass Media: Cognitive Semantic

This study discusses the conceptualization of metaphors in discourse Bali G20 Summit using cognitive semantic theory. The purpose this is to explore and analyze types meanings create a network see relationship with one another. research included descriptive qualitative research. source metaphor data comes from online mass media. method used collection simak method, note-taking technique as primary technique, analysis uses distribution advanced techniques for natural elements (BUL). results showed three metaphors, namely structural, two orientational, five ontological metaphors. Based on metaphorical mapping between domain target image scheme, identity suitability feature matching; space features Up-Down, Front-Back, Left-Right, Near-far, Center-Periphery, Contact; force strength characteristics balance, state existence characteristic an object, cycle, process, limited bounded space.
